Week 20 on the Official Ironman Plan. Messing it up so far.

This is the first week on the "official" 20 weeks-to-Ironman plan! I had visions - after practicing tapering and enjoying a low-key/recovery week - of blazing on into week 20 and setting the world on fire. No go. Off to a very rocky start. That's OK! This was a relaxed week with no real training plan. Here I am all set up in transition! Up until 1 hour before the start, we weren't sure we were going to be able to do the race. Storms kept threatening cancellation. 4am on race day, we got an email stating that the storm, if it kept moving at its present pace, would hit San Marcos right during the race time. This week could be summed up: Fast running. Hard biking. Anxious swimming. How to become a faster runner? I guess focus on swimming and biking. Sunday - I was to do a 45-minute bike ride.
