Sunday - OK, I didn’t go to Barrington. I got home at 10pm last night, needed to eat and take care of a few things. I would've had to get up at 5:30am after a day of travel and 2 sets of workouts. Ugh! Just didn’t sound fun or smart (to then come back and drive 5 hours). So I decided to go back to the gym. Started cycling at 7:40am. There’s a 90-minute class at 8:30am. Pushed it during class. Week 6 – My highest volume week while on vacation
We are on vacation! Trying to do very minimal work and keep it to family and workouts. Sunday - Asked yesterday at the bike shop for recommendations of where to ride. Sunday - Racine Ironman 70.3 cut short. Stupid weather. Morning of waiting, being disappointed, mentally readjusting, standing around, going to my car to wait out the storms, started at 10:30am. 31-mile bike ride – I hammered it. (1:46) Half marathon run – I suffered in the heat. (2:36) More about the race here… Total: 4.5 hours = 270 minutes Monday - Exhausted! Got up at 5:30am to lead a webinar from 6-8. Continue Reading
